Shared Voices

In an effort to foster conversation – and share the successes and challenges facing our schools – Shared Solutions is excited to invite you to join our virtual community engagement initiative Shared Voices. We aim to engage with the community as we develop shared solutions to improve Philadelphia schools. We understand that your perspectives are crucial in making substantive changes that work for your schools and communities. You can connect with Shared Voices in a variety of ways, including podcasts, #PhilEdSolutions Twitter chats, and the forthcoming Shared Solutions blog.

We look forward to collaborating!

#PhilEdSolutions Twitter Chats

Our live Twitter chats provide a great opportunity to build a virtual community as we engage and connect with the diverse group of stakeholders in Philadelphia education. Through these chats, we hope to identify common challenges and share solutions for school improvement. We want to narrow the research-practice gap by facilitating informal interactions and exchanges of ideas between researchers, practitioners, and the broader community.

Our first #PhilEdSolutions chat will take place on August 19th at 8:00pm EST. With a Back-to-School theme, this chat will allow us to bring teachers, principals, school staff, researchers, and other stakeholders together to discuss plans and ideas for the upcoming school year! Follow @PhilEdSolutions on Twitter and participate in the conversation using the hashtag #PhilEdSolutions.

Voices from the Field Blog

This blog focuses on the positive, highlighting innovative and inspiring work that is happening in the District. We are seeking individuals working locally in education to share- in their own words- what they view as the greatest successes in their schools, or the challenges they have experienced and the solutions they see to overcome them.
